After an international competitive tender process, a Fund Manager and a Third Party Monitoring and Evaluation Agent were appointed on 25 April 2016 to undertake a comprehensive inception phase to set up the Fund. The first phase of the initial 5 year-cycle ran from April 2016 to December 2018 and the Fund Manager role was performed by a consortium of 4 partners-  ECORYS Netherlands B.V., VNG, INTRAC and AKVO with ECORYS Netherlands B.V.  as the lead.

The second phase of this 5 year-cycle will run from January 2019 to December 2020 and Mott Macdonald will play the Fund Management role.
